The following guidelines are in place so we can provide you with a fun, safe, and enjoyable time while visiting our attractions.

Redeeming online tickets: Scan your order confirmation barcode at the front admissions kiosks — straight from your phone, or from a printout of your purchase email.
Bought a ticket for the wrong date? No problem — tickets and passes can be used on any date within a year of purchase.
Memberships and play cards: Register yours online through the Guest Login link. Check credit balances at any in-park kiosk, or online through the same link.
For the health and safety of our animals and guests, the following restrictions apply.
Houston weather is humid in summer, cool in winter, and rainy year-round. We're mostly indoors, but a few activities and encounters are outside — so dress for both.
Outside food and drinks aren't allowed on-site — but there are plenty of food and beverage options in the park. Alcohol and glass containers aren't permitted anywhere on Houston Interactive property, and coolers may be searched.
Leaving and coming back the same day? Keep your receipt — you'll need it to get back in.
Receipts can't be passed to anyone else, and doing so is grounds for ejection without a refund.
Pets aren't allowed inside, but service animals are always welcome.
Under the ADA, a service animal is a dog individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person's disability. Emotional-support, therapy, comfort, and companion animals don't qualify and can't be brought inside.
Please don't leave a pet unattended in the parking lot or in your vehicle.
Guest behavior: Please keep things family-friendly. Unruly, disruptive, or offensive behavior isn't permitted.
Unattended minors: We recommend anyone under 18 visit with an adult. We do not assume responsibility or liability for unattended minors.
Smoking and vaping: Not allowed anywhere inside, or within 100 feet of the building.
Lost or stolen items: We aren't responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, but you can report anything missing to Guest Services or by email.
Photo and video: By visiting, you allow high-resolution photos and videos taken at the park to be used for advertising, without payment or compensation.
Single-day tickets, annual passes, credits, interactive experiences, premium bottles, and buckets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
All credit card transactions incur a 3% convenience fee.
By entering Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve and participating in any related activities within, all guests agree to hold harmless and indemnify Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve LLC, its owners, operators, employees, and agents from any and all claims.
All guests assume the inherent risks associated with feeding and touching live animals and fully accept the risk of bodily injury or harm. These risks could include, but are not limited to, bumps, bruises, scratches, loss of vision, bodily injury, skin disorders, mental disorders, dismemberment, or death.
