Tickets, Credits & Memberships

Redeeming online tickets: Scan your order confirmation barcode at the front admissions kiosks — straight from your phone, or from a printout of your purchase email.

Bought a ticket for the wrong date? No problem — tickets and passes can be used on any date within a year of purchase.

Memberships and play cards: Register yours online through the Guest Login link. Check credit balances at any in-park kiosk, or online through the same link.

Age Requirements for Select Encounters

For the health and safety of our animals and guests, the following restrictions apply.

Kangaroo

  • Guests must be 54 inches tall.
  • Sanitary conditions apply.
  • Guests that own cats or have been around cats within 48 hours cannot enter.

Tamandua

  • Age restrictions apply.
  • Ages 5 and under must be with a paid adult.

Lemur Encounters

  • Ages 6+ only.
  • Ages 6-8 must be with a paid adult; ages 8+ can enter alone.
  • Guests that own cats or have been around cats within 48 hours must take extra sanitation steps.

Camel

  • Guests must be 54 inches tall.
  • Ages 10+ only can participate.

Kinkajou

  • Ages 10+ only can participate.

Sloth

  • Age restrictions apply.
  • Ages 5 and under must be with a paid adult.

What to Wear

Houston weather is humid in summer, cool in winter, and rainy year-round. We're mostly indoors, but a few activities and encounters are outside — so dress for both.

  • Year-round: Be prepared for rain; wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
  • Summer: Shorts, lightweight clothing, and sunscreen.
  • Winter: Layer up and bring a comfortable jacket.

Outside Food and Beverages

Outside food and drinks aren't allowed on-site — but there are plenty of food and beverage options in the park. Alcohol and glass containers aren't permitted anywhere on Houston Interactive property, and coolers may be searched.

  • School field trips: Students on scheduled trips may bring a sack lunch and drinks.
  • Birthday parties: Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome in your party area only.

Re-Entry

Leaving and coming back the same day? Keep your receipt — you'll need it to get back in.

Receipts can't be passed to anyone else, and doing so is grounds for ejection without a refund.

Pets & Service Animals

Pets aren't allowed inside, but service animals are always welcome.

Under the ADA, a service animal is a dog individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person's disability. Emotional-support, therapy, comfort, and companion animals don't qualify and can't be brought inside.

Please don't leave a pet unattended in the parking lot or in your vehicle.

Guest Conduct & Safety

Guest behavior: Please keep things family-friendly. Unruly, disruptive, or offensive behavior isn't permitted.

Unattended minors: We recommend anyone under 18 visit with an adult. We do not assume responsibility or liability for unattended minors.

Smoking and vaping: Not allowed anywhere inside, or within 100 feet of the building.

Lost or stolen items: We aren't responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, but you can report anything missing to Guest Services or by email.

Photo and video: By visiting, you allow high-resolution photos and videos taken at the park to be used for advertising, without payment or compensation.

Refund Policy

Single-day tickets, annual passes, credits, interactive experiences, premium bottles, and buckets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

All credit card transactions incur a 3% convenience fee.
